STATEMENT REGARDING VICTOR VALLEY CORPS FLYER

A flyer from The Salvation Army Victor Valley Corps has been making the rounds on the internet which has prompted questions about what documents we require to from families requesting assistance. We would like to take this opportunity to be clear: The wording on this flyer is a typographical error. The Salvation Army does not, and has never, required medical records as a condition of family assistance. The Victor Valley Corps merely meant to illustrate that they accept immunization records if the parent in question does not have a copy of the birth certificate available. The Salvation Army Victor Valley Corps simply uses the documents to confirm the name and birth date — nothing more.

We apologize for the misunderstanding and we assure you that The Salvation Army is dedicated to providing the most assistance to the most people possible.
